Persistence

Let's face it, it is very difficult to remain persistent in some matters. Not all granted but many. It seems that time and evasiveness has a way of wearing a person down, of course this is all part of the universal plan to test us, to determine if we are worthy of great rewards.

Sadly many of us fail the test, with flying F's. It seems that we want to do things but we hit that roadblock and we just give up. We walk away believing we are failures and we never try that experiment again. Thus we shall never know if we could have succeeded or not, because we quit trying.

Then someone else seizes our idea and makes it work. We are... angry. It was our idea and the rewards belong to us because we thought of it first!

Not so fast. We gave up remember, we stopped trying therefore we forfeited everything to the winner. The winner owes us nothing. We deserve zero, zip, nada, nothing because we gave up. This is the test of persistence. It is a test created by the universe to determine if we have what it takes to be a winner and we proved that we don't. So be a grown up and accept that we failed because we chose to fail. It is no more complicated than that.

It doesn't matter what you try, persistence is required to achieve. There are of course various levels of persistence, from easy to difficult and the more worthwhile the goal the more difficult the challenges and more persistence is required. Giving up when the going gets rough is a choice. We must recognize that nothing worthwhile comes easy. Rome was not built in a day. Neither was Caesar's Palace.

The world is yours if you are willing to pay the price required. It is you and you alone who must bear the burden of success or failure. Life is not easy and if you accept handouts that you did not earn, then you are a loser. A handout is different from a hand-up, as different as noon and midnight. Many people are on handouts from the Government, and Government will never help you achieve. Achievement is only possible by individual desire. Not to say that you won't need help from time-to-time, for you cannot succeed alone, but only you can desire success for you, no one else can do that.

To achieve you must persistent when the going gets rough, I know I'm there. I have hit many roadblocks these last few days and it has taken time to recoup, but recoup I have and now, now I am moving forward again. Lessons were learned and put into practice, for I have a desire to succeed in ways I have never done before. I know what I want, where I want to go, and how to get there. Do you?

Persistence is the key to the universe and beyond. But only if you know how to use it.
