The Gravy Train

I am firmly convinced that leadership influences the behavior of individuals. While reality dictates that not everyone can be leaders, and many don’t want to be, all individuals can live a well-balanced and profitable life. The question becomes: are people encouraged to become their best?

Sadly the answer today is no. Today the message seems to be “victimhood,” to take advantage of everyone at every opportunity and the hell with the consequences. Today we have the concept that the working class owes a living to those who refuse to work, and today’s leadership is constantly reinforcing this message.

Today the “illustrious” leaders of this nation have sent the unmistakable message it’s ok to be lazy and a bum, but if you work and make money you are evil and selfish. The worst part is the policies which are being implemented to enforce this belief upon everyone. It seems that in order for the current leadership to remain in power government freebies and giveaways become a mandatory concept.

Small businesses today have to be discouraged in the way they are being micro-managed at all levels of their existence. The depression some business owners must feel has to be overwhelmingly frustrating. Because of political policies foisted upon the small business owner, many are finding it easier to shut down rather than stay in operation. At the very least no new hires are taking place hence we suffer from a nine plus percent unemployment rate.

With millions out of work the only thing politicians can do is raise taxes and destroy initiative. It seems like solutions to the very problems they created are beneath them, hence they do nothing except blame each other. The truth is they are all to blame.

The heartbreaking part is there are some politicians who actually are trying to correct the situation, but they are vilified and called unrepeatable names by the so-called “responsible” members of the Congress and the lapdog main stream media. So the question has to be asked why do some politicians want to destroy the country of their birth?

The answer is simple, to empower themselves and enslave the masses. It’s no more complicated than that. While politicians share much of the blame the real reason for this mess rests with us, the voters. It is we who voted these people into office, it is we who refuse to hold our leaders accountable, it is we the voters who support the news media, the very same news media which lies to us ever single minute each day. Yes it is we the voters who are ultimately responsible for the mess we find ourselves in.

For decades we were instructed to trust and rely on the government for everything in our lives. Never once were we encouraged to rely on ourselves, to improve ourselves, to become better than we think we are. No, only government has the ability to help us, for we cannot survive without the guidance and compassion of the politician. The saddest part is we believed this message with all our heart, mind, and soul.

Leadership failed us because we failed ourselves. We deferred our own strengths and happiness to an “idea” rather than reality. We have become so accustomed to letting government control our lives that we created situations to ensure this gravy train would never stop. The very news media which is suppose to be the watchdogs over all things politics have themselves become so corrupted and so biased that their only mantra is the complete and utter destruction of opposing views. And with all this going on we the people continue to ignore the warning signs of our nations' imminent destruction.

The gravy train is running out of gravy for today we face massive unemployment and real hardship. But the news media stays quiet. Today we have massive debt and again the news media stays quiet. Today we face enemies who really want to destroy and kill us, but the news media stays quiet. Why is that? Could it be a double standard? Say it ain’t true Ma!

But alas it is. Every day for the last 60 years a freedom has been taken away and the politicians, supported by the news media, tell us everything is fine. Every day for the last 60 years a new censorship has been imposed upon us, and again the politicians reassure us all is well. Every day for the last 60 years morality has been under attack in the name of safety and security, and as always the politicians tell us not to worry. All is well they say and we allow the lies to continue.

Many say this country is finished but I say hogwash. As long as individuals believe in themselves, have faith in their abilities, and enforce ethics and morality upon themselves the dream stays alive. The gravy train may be over but not the country. Each of us has a responsibility to ourselves to become the best we can be, to do our best, and to stop listening to the politicians. The policies being implemented today are designed to destroy our will, to discourage us beyond recovery, and to enslave us to the will of those who see themselves as the “Saviors” of our country. Only the so-called saviors engage in policies which produce misery, despair, and slavery.

We don’t have to accept it, because as real Americans, Americans who believe in the flag, traditions, and honor of our way of life, we have the ability to resist those that would destroy us.

Is there hope for us and this nation? The answer is a positive and resounding YES! So make no mistake, the message of freedom and accountability we are slowly sending to Washington is definitely getting attention, and the politicians, not to mention the main stream media, are worried, very worried. Which is a good thing.
