Building Your Future
Ok, I know, I squandered my life on ignorant beliefs which I was taught as child. Even when I grew into adulthood I failed to realize just how much damage I was doing to myself with my belief system. Now that I’m in my sixties I find I am paying a huge price for my ignorance, my stubbornness, and my stupidity. I failed to build a future when I was young and the reason why is so easy to understand.
Futures are built not given. Today, more than any other time in our history just the opposite is being taught to our young. And I thought I had it bad. Today’s youth see no hope for their life because they have been led down the “garden path of liberalism,” a path that leads only to misery and personal destruction. I am living proof of that concept.
Your future is whatever you want it to be however there are certain “rules” you have to obey if you want a “great” future. There are certain rules you have to obey if you want a “so-so” future. And there are certain rules you have to obey if you want “no” future. The beautiful thing about the rules is you decide what rules to follow. But more important than that: You, you yourself make the rules. Others may try to influence your path but only you decide the content of the rules.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing to prevent you from having a great and marvelous future except your own self-limitations. It is true that outside entities try to influence you into believing that without the aid of government you cannot make it in the world. These forces entice you to “embrace” the concept that government should take care of you, always and forever. All you have to do is vote and re-elect the congress critter who promises you utopia. Now what could be so hard about that?
But what is always omitted is the little fact which states you must obey their every whim, you must do as you are told, and you cannot question their intentions. And so you re-elect the con artist who promises you the moon but delivers only misery and despair. What a bunch of crock.
To build your future you need to learn, not only school-book learning but maintain constant training to expose yourself to new concepts and ideas. You need to learn to set and achieve goals, to challenge yourself and your concepts to different ways of thinking. And you need to stop listening to politicians.
Today’s crop of politicians will say and do anything to retain power. Your future depends upon you knowing which politician tells you the truth (which can be very ugly and repulsive) and which one tells you the lie (which can and often is beautiful music to your ears and soul).
But most of all your future depends upon you and you alone. Only you can decide where you want to go. Only you can decide how successful you want to be. Only you can decide how much money you want in the bank. And yes there is a difference between success and having money in the bank, but it is up to you to learn the difference.
To build a really great future for you and your family you have to only follow one simple rule: Quit listening to the politicians, recognize the difference between utopia and reality, and follow your heart. It’s no more complicated than that.
