Welcome to my hobby page, more or less. At any rate it is here that I store some of my projects that I have been working on. These items have no other home so I placed them here. One type of hobby that I work on is screenplays. I like to dabble in creating scripts for movies, but my kind of movies, not the type that passes for movies these days. I have learned a lot from writing these things and hope that you find them of interest. If not, no hard feelings.

My screenplays are more for the romantic genre than anything else. I have written quite a few, and yes the ones I present here are all copyrighted and registered. They are in PDF format, locked, and watermarked. You can print the pages (low resolution) but cannot copy them.

I put them here for two reasons, to expose my writing talent and provide examples of how a screenplay is formatted. Hollywood has their own style and if one is to pursue this type of career than one must adhere to the established format. Any other format and the document gets trashed immediately.

There is dedicated software on the market which will do this formatting for you automatically. I use ScreenWriter 6 and have been very happy with it. Others use Final Draft, which I understand is also a great product. It's just a matter of choice, but for me I bought what was on sale at the time. There are other programs on the market as well which you may prefer instead. It really doesn't matter what program you use they all do the same thing -- they automatically format the document to Hollywood standards.

There is a lot to learn when writing a screenplay, and the competition is fierce to say the least. I have been writing these things for years now and 1) I'm still learning the craft and, 2) I've never sold one. I have, and continue to submit screenplays to contest, which is not cheap, but I do it because the feedback I receive is invaluable. Not all contests offer feedback but the ones I submit to offer that service. A complete stranger reading my work, pointing out my flaws, all it does is make me a better writer. What more could I ask for?

I have attached three of my screenplays for you to download and examine. I hope you find them of interest and look forward to your feedback. Remember they are free to download but they are copyrighted and registered. Any reproduction in any form is strictly forbidden. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
